This module is designed to equip the trainee with skills, knowledge, and attitudes to enable him/her to appreciate and apply safe working conditions on site and masonry works. Through a comprehensive curriculum that blends theoretical learning with practical application, participants will gain a deep understanding of occupational health and safety practices specific to construction sites and masonry work. By the end of the training program, trainees will be adept at identifying potential hazards, implementing preventive measures, and fostering a culture of safety in their work environment. This module deals with understanding the operations of construction plant as well as their importance in the construction industry. It is intended to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable him/her select appropriate construction plant for specific construction operations that are based on the plant output, quality of the work, economic use of the plant and the nature of work to be done.
This module deals with the fundamental principles and techniques of surveying, covering topics such as distance measurements, levelling, angular, measurements, map and engineering plan reading, relief representation, and setting out of engineering structures.
